Things might look a little sparse around here, but that’s because I am just getting started.
While I have been writing for years, Gamified is my first published novel. It’s the result of many years of wishing I could do all the amazing things my characters in the games I play are able to do. And yes, I do try casting fireball every once and awhile, just in case.
Book One: Beastmaster is all about Felix Jacobs, an unpopular high school kid in a rural town in the middle of nowhere. Felix loves videos games and tends to prefer them over his real life. One day he starts getting mysterious messages on his phone which appear to be achievements and quest notifications – just like a game.
Things start to spiral out of control when Felix realises, he is somehow able to level up in real life. Soon he is facing off against elderly zombies, feral squirrels and his high school nemesis turned ogre as the world around him slowly becomes more and more like a video game.
In the end it is up to a housecat summoning Beastmaster, a bloodthirsty cheerleader and a nerdy necromancer to stop the gamification and save the world.
